Set a schedule and stick to it, without getting distracted or allowing interruptions. Focus on the most important task that you have to do that day, and do not do any other work until it is completed. Or for longer projects, set aside a certain number of hours each day for it, and catch up with your email, calls etc in the rest of the time. But however you do it, hold on to your focus through all of your work hours.
